Effective January 4, 2019, the only Apple products available for sale on Amazon are from Apple only. Private-party and unauthorized resellers are prohibited.

(CCM) — Apple has struck an agreement with Amazon which will see the online giant kick non-authorized third party Apple vendors off its web site, according to a CNN report.
Some of these vendors purchase new iPhones, iPads, and Apple Watches when they are first released and in short supply when, and then sell them on Amazon’s platforms around the world. Others buy used devices and refurbish them before selling them through Amazon.
But last week many vendors received notice from Amazon that they have until Jan. 4, 2019 to sell their stock, after which time their listings will be removed, the report says.
In return for removing unauthorized sellers from its platform, Apple will allow Amazon to sell and ship new Apple products such as the iPhone XS and XR and Beats headphones as soon as they are released. Amazon will buy directly from Apple and also list products from some approved resellers, according to CNN.
The deal will come into effect later in the year on Amazon’s platforms in the U.S., U.K., Japan, India, France, Germany, and Spain.
Unauthorized vendors will still be able to sell Apple products on other sites such as eBay or Craigslist, or on their own websites.
